After this article was published, Otixo switched off of their “freemium” platform. Now, you have to pay a monthly or a yearly payment to use their service. They are already priced competitively and after reaching out to the CEO of Otixo, we were able to secure a 500-time use monthly discount code available exclusively to TBS readers. Use OTX20M for a 20% discount on their monthly service. Leave a comment or subscribe to our RSS and we will update you when a free service comes out.
Otixo: Making the Impossible Possible
Otixo is trying to bridge the gap between all your cloud file storing services. The service allows you to combine cloud storage services and view them all from one place for free. On top of that, the web service supports WebDAV which allows you to combine all of your cloud storage services into a network drive.
The only thing we do not like about the service is that there is a 2GB monthly bandwidth cap. It costs $4.99 a month to upgrade to the unlimited bandwidth business version. However, for most users 2GB should be plenty.

What Does the Otixo Dashboard Look Like?

Map Your Cloud Storage Services to a Network Drive
Otixo can be conveniently mapped as a network hard drive. Many of the services that Otixo connects to are normally not available to be connected to as a network hard drive. Otixo does this for you for free.
How to Combine Cloud Storage Services on Windows 8
To combine cloud storage services on a Windows computer, first go to My Computer and Right Click. Select Add a network location. When you are asked, “Where do you want to create this network location?” select Choose a custom network location and then press Next. When you are asked to specify the location of your website enter https://dav.otixo.com/. Next, you will be prompted for the name of the folder. And voila, you have a network folder that combines all your cloud storage services.

2GB Monthly Bandwidth Limit
Otixo runs off of a freemium platform. What does that mean? Well, Otixo allows you to use their service for free until you hit your 2GB monthly bandwidth cap. After that, you will have to pay for their premium plan which is $4.99/month.

[...] Prezi uses a freemium business model just like the best website for high quality videos, the best website for music playlists, and a new service that allows you to combine all your cloud storage services. [...]
I attempted to use my otixo account beyond the 14 day trial period and the service took all my connected services to an ‘offline’ state and only will reconnect if I upgrade to a monthly or yearly plan.
Netbob – sorry I haven’t had time to update this article yet, been very busy with life and whatnot! But I have been paying attention to Otixo.. I actually emailed the CEO. He said they switched off of a freemium platform because it just wasn’t worth it! However, I did negotiate to get a discount code only available to TBS users:
OTX20M (for 20% off their monthly service – 500 uses only)
Thanks for commenting! Sorry if this article wasted some of your time… I’ll shoot you an email when I figure out a more permanent solution to the problem of “combining cloud storage”
